Bisayanihan Summit 2014 and Youth Leadership Excellence Awards

The Youth Leadership Excellence Awards (YLEA) is one of the flagship projects of the Junior Chamber International-Philippines. The project aims to recognize outstanding graduates from both elementary and secondary and to inspire them towards greater achievements in life.

Since 1985, 120,000 exceptional students have been awarded all over the Philippines and the project has consistently pushed forward JCI’s mission of providing “Development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.”

JCI Cebu Inc. is committed to continue this tradition of excellence and make YLEA meaningful by gathering best and the brightest graduates from 30 Secondary Cebu Schools in one Leadership and Nation-Building Formation – The BISAYAnihan Summit 2014 and the Awarding of the Youth Leadership Excellence Awards. We plan to hold the event this March 29, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Social Hall.

This project is in partnership with Cebuano Youth Ambassadors, 2012 National Awardee of the Search for Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations / 2012 National Coca-cola Barkada Awardee and the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines-Cebu.

We believe that this undertaking fully aligns with JCI Cebu’s thrust this year – Back to Basics: People (inspire volunteerism), Purpose (create positive change) & Process (deliver sustainable impact). And with this, we invite you to be our partner in celebrating youth excellence and in awarding outstanding students from Cebu City who embody the values of initiative, discipline and resourcefulness in hopes that they too, can do the same in the future.
